One of the joys of life is finally putting a face to a name after having had a telephonic relationship with a person. Every day the Jands Customer Support Team fields hundreds of calls from all walks of life, be it our account holders, a theatre looking for a total stage solution, a home recording artist and even someone with a competitor’s product who needs a little help plugging it all together and getting it going. Whatever your needs, if you call Jands for assistance chances are you’ll be put right through to the Customer Support Team (CST).

So who are we, what do we do and what are our backgrounds? All staff in CST have their specialties though we work closely with each other and we all understand each other’s skills, allowing great diversity within the team.

Chris_Cole1Chris Cole – Chris is an old hand at Jands having been with us in varying roles since 2000, including having worked in a number of roles within the Jands warehouse. Now having been with Customer Support for some time Chris primarily focuses on the QLD and NT arm of Jands, linking with Gary Barr, David Bourke and Tim Kennard, ensuring our QLD customers receive the high standard of service they have grown accustomed to from Jands. Chris also has a deep passion for music and events, which has lead him to linking with the Jands Marketing Team, lending a hand with our artist endorsement program and trade shows. Chris is also a registered first aid officer and fire warden.


Mark_Ablott1Mark Ablott – Mark has been with us since 2007 where he started as a Customer Support Coordinator. Mark had a solid background in pro and commercial audio wholesale having previously been employed by another audio distributor. Showing an immediate interest in the technical aspect of Jands manufactured and distributed products, Mark quickly moved into the role of Technical Support Coordinator, linking with our Technical Resource Group. Mark is in the front line for technical support calls so should you have a technical enquiry Mark’s your man. He also links with John Dignam, Rod McKinnon and Richard Everitt to assist their customers with enquiries.


Troy_Steele1Troy Steele – Troy has been with us since 2006. A jack of all trades and an old hand in the music industry, Troy has dabbled in most facets of the music and entertainment industry. Playing various instruments in many Sydney bands, managing bands and operating production for musical acts and corporate events since 16 years of age, Troy has a passion for all elements of entertainment. Commencing his Jands career as a Customer Support Coordinator, Troy quickly moved on to the role of Technical Support Coordinator and in 2007 took on the role of Customer Support Manager. As well as managing CST, Troy focuses heavily on policing Jands anti-counterfeit product program plus works closely with Jands Staging in their major projects coordination. Happily married to Jodie Steele the Jands Marketing Manager (she made us say that), Troy is the proud father of little Jade and is eagerly awaiting the birth of their baby boy affectionately known as “Blue” Steele.

Blake MoussaBlake Moussa – Introducing you to Blake Moussa. Having previously worked at another audio distributor in a very similar role, Blake is no stranger to the AV industry. He strives to build strong relationships with his customers, ensuring they are receiving an honest, professional and warming experience with every call. Outside of Jands, he is a producer, performer and sound technician. He has also studied Music Production in TAFE & SAE. It's safe to say almost everything in his life is revolved around audio, except for his wife, Emma who he married just prior to his employment at Jands.


Ryan-HochkinsRyan Hochkins – Ryan Hochkins is the newest member of the Customer Support Team. Ryan is an industry veteran, especially for his age, having had 14 years in various roles in retail supply of music production equipment, professional audio, consumer audio as well as a hire business and training company for electronic music production. His role at Jands sees him looking after Dale Thurbon (NSW), Nina Finn (VIC) and Sam Bertolini’s (WA) customers, which ties in well with the experience and knowledge he gained from previous industry sales and support roles. With Ryan’s experience in live sound, recording and lighting, the opportunity to work at Jands was attractive for him to deal with some of the same, as well as new areas of the industry which he previously hadn’t had the chance to experience. When not at Jands you’ll find Ryan on the golf course by day, and at a hotel with a live band at night!
