The Who's Who of the Customer Support Crew
One of the joys of life is finally putting a face to a name after having had a telephonic relationship with a person. Every day the Jands Customer Support Team fields hundreds of calls from all walks of life, be it our account holders, a theatre looking for a total stage solution, a home recording artist and even someone with a competitor’s product who needs a little help plugging it all together and getting it going. Whatever your needs, if you call Jands for assistance chances are you’ll be put right through to the Customer Support Team (CST).
So who are we, what do we do and what are our backgrounds? All staff in CST have their specialties though we work closely with each other and we all understand each other’s skills, allowing great diversity within the team.
Chris Cole – Chris is an old hand at Jands having been with us in varying roles since 2000, including having worked in a number of roles within the Jands warehouse. Now having been with Customer Support for some time Chris primarily focuses on the QLD and NT arm of Jands, linking with Gary Barr, David Bourke and Tim Kennard, ensuring our QLD customers receive the high standard of service they have grown accustomed to from Jands. Chris also has a deep passion for music and events, which has lead him to linking with the Jands Marketing Team, lending a hand with our artist endorsement program and trade shows. Chris is also a registered first aid officer and fire warden.
Mark Ablott – Mark has been with us since 2007 where he started as a Customer Support Coordinator. Mark had a solid background in pro and commercial audio wholesale having previously been employed by another audio distributor. Showing an immediate interest in the technical aspect of Jands manufactured and distributed products, Mark quickly moved into the role of Technical Support Coordinator, linking with our Technical Resource Group. Mark is in the front line for technical support calls so should you have a technical enquiry Mark’s your man. He also links with John Dignam and our Victorian Account Managers and assist their customers with enquiries.
Clayton Idato – Clayton has also been with us since 2007. Clayton has a background rich in retail PA and musical instrument sales, leading him to service the majority of our MI retailers. Clayton links with Account Managers Sam Bertolini (WA), Steven Chavez (SA), Dale Thurbon (NSW), and Nina Finn (VIC). Clayton also is a mean bass player with quite a collection of basses. A bad habit he picked up from his retail days.
Troy Steele – Troy has been with us since 2006. A jack of all trades and an old hand in the music industry, Troy has dabbled in most facets of the music industry. Playing various instruments in bands, managing bands and operating production for various bands and artists since 16 years of age, Troy has a passion for all elements of entertainment. Troy started life with Jands as a Customer Support Coordinator, quickly moved on to Technical Support Coordinator and in 2007 took on the role of Customer Support Manager. As well as managing CST, Troy links with Rod McKinnon, assisting him and his clients with any enquiries they may have. Troy also assists Jands Staging with their major projects coordination.
