Jands has over 40 years' experience providing turn-key solutions, from design, engineering and manufacturing, to installation, maintenance and service.

We are seeking an experienced Operational Assistant to join our NSW operations team. This varied role will assist to prepare the receiving, storage, distribution and shipment of products and equipment manufactured and distributed by the Company.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Key duties and responsibilities of the Operational Assistant include (but are not limited to):

  • maintaining information in the inventory management system (Pronto) and management of IOFs;
  • be responsible for controlling stock levels of consumables and MP parts;
  • coordinating freight deliveries, including packing/despatch duties and maintaining the freight register, including coordinating consignment notes and manifests;
  • conducting pre-knitting of projects against BOM's/IOF's/purchase requisitions;
  • assisting with installations onsite as required;
  • undertaking stock takes as required; and,
  • assisting to prepare, test and despatch resources and equipment for various Company events.

Skills and experience

To be considered for this role applicants must meet the essential criteria listed below:

  • Minimum 2 years general warehouse and/or logistics experience;
  • Drivers licence (current and valid) MR minimum;
  • Test & Tag Licence;
  • Licence to Perform High Risk Work (LF - Forklift);
  • Proven experience using ERP systems (Pronto Desirable);
  • Intermediate level of computer literacy;
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and coordinate a multiple of tasks; and,
  • Construction Induction White Card.

It would be an advantage to possess one or more of the following desirable selection criteria.

  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems relevant to the theatrical and staging industry; and,
  • Experience using TNT systems.
