Lighting System Grows With New Opera House

The new Wexford Opera House (Ireland) is on the same site as its predecessor, the Theatre Royal, but at 83,420 square feet, it is 4.5 times larger, and now offers almost twice the seating capacity and a 130 percent increase in stage area. Northern Light was responsible for installing the lighting, sound and communication systems.

Rutledge Engineering’s Massive Upgrade Of Darling Harbour’s AV System

In late 2006 Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority undertook a tender process to find a suitable contractor to provide this specialist service for the upgrade of the existing Audio Visual system. The precinct had an existing system, installed 13 years ago, which no longer fulfilled expanding requirements. Rutledge Engineering was awarded the contract to design, supply and install the new public address system and reticulation infrastructure.

Shure Unidyne Model 55 Inducted Into TECnology Hall Of Fame

The Shure Unidyne Model 55 was one of this year’s inductees at The Mix TECnology Hall of Fame, held at the AES Convention in San Francisco. The Foundation for Excellence in Audio established the TECnology Hall of Fame to honour and recognise audio products and innovations that have made a significant contribution to the advancement of audio technology.

For fifty years the Great Moscow Circus has been thrilling audiences with acts of sensational skill and agility. Brian Anslow, a lecturer in Technical Production at WAAPA, designed and programmed the lighting for this latest show trusting in a Jands Vista I3 for control.
