The National Film and Sound Archive have recently celebrated the first anniversary of its Arc cinema. Arc is one of the best equipped cinemas in Australia. It is one of the very few venues to screen the formats of cinema’s past, such as the slower speeds of silent films. At the same time, its digital projection and sound quality are state-of-the art and support contemporary filmmaking.
