September sees the first leg of our new Jands@Home initiative taking place in Perth WA. The Jands@Home program places senior management and product engineers in a town for a full week of meetings with customers and end users alike. Our aim is to give the local industry unprecedented access to Jands business and product managers as well as an up to date overview of our range of audio, lighting and staging solutions.

Vista 2 'Byron' Software To Preview At Plasa

Jands previewed the major software upgrade for their revolutionary Vista lighting console, at Plasa in September. Development of the Byron software reflects the attention Jands have paid to user feedback about the Vista, as well as the fresh vision Jands have brought to the whole concept of how a console works. The update provides easier and faster ways to do existing functions, and introduces a host of new features.

Dockside Gets A Lighting & AV Overhaul

The massive multi-million refurbishment of Dockside Group’s two key venues, Dockside and L’Aqua is now complete with the observation by many being "the new Dockside must be Sydney’s best ballroom." Impact AV, the Dockside Group’s in-house audio visual company, were responsible for the design and installation of the lighting, audio and vision into all three venues, however Silas Creel, Impact AV’s Managing Director comments “Jands were really helpful with setting out this system.”

Queensland Theatre Company Chooses ETC Ion

September

After many years of dutiful service in their Bille Brown Studio, Queensland Theatre Company sent their ETC Expression out to pasture, replacing it with a groovy new ETC Ion 1000 console. The venue did a lot of liaising with other venues in Brisbane (in particular La Boite Theatre and Gardens Theatre which also own ETC Ion consoles) and decided that with the ease of programme facilities that the Ion offers, it was the one to go with.

Pulse Audio Visual Chose Jands For Award-Winning Venue

September

In July the GV Hotel won the prestigious Best Re-developed Hotel Award (for the whole of Australia) at the AHA National Awards for Excellence 2009. Pulse Audio Visual was asked to design and install the best in audio and consequently they specified a JBL-dominated system.

Somerset House Lights Up With Vista

London’s iconic Somerset House has been transformed by a massive architectural LED lighting installation. Designed by Patrick Woodroffe and controlled by a Vista PC system the system was installed by A.C. Special Projects Limited.

Vista Is A Lighting Vision For Grace Community Church

September

Indiana based Grace Community Church has invested in a range of Vista lighting control solutions including the full-size Vista T2, the portable Vista S1 and the playback-only Vista M1 consoles. The Church relies on volunteers to assist the paid production staff during services, therefore Senior Director of Production, Daryl Cripe felt it was essential to invest in a lighting console that the inexperienced volunteers could easily understand. They tested various consoles, yet nothing they tried in their opinion compared to the Vista.

Where We've Been...

The months of July and August have been filled with marketing activities, taking Jands to cities up and down the East Coast. We’ve exhibited at the SMPTE Exhibition and AMAC as well as launching the new Stanton SCS digital controller product.
