Sydney Final TV Restack

Please note that Sydney (main), Kings Cross, and Manly/Mosman transmitters are scheduled to restack at 9am on Tuesday the 18th of March 2014. This will be the final restack for the Sydney area prior to hand over of the digital dividend spectrum (694MHz – 820MHz) on the 1st of January 2015.

Digital Dividend Auction Results

The 700MHz digital dividend spectrum auction commenced on the 23rd of April. The ACMA had previously stated that they would not make any details of the auction including bidder identities and bid amounts public until the auction was finalised. Which they did, thus we were in complete media blackout until the ACMA released a press release advising that the auction was complete.

It would seem some in the industry have heard about this and immediately launched into panic mode suggesting that wireless audio devices (wireless microphone and in-ear systems) could be prohibited from this band should the proposed changed be adopted.
