Fees & Charges

The minimum charge for out of warranty repairs is $55.00, irrelevant of if you wish to go ahead with the repair. The minimum repair cost is equivalent to one hour’s labour ($125.00), which covers time required to assess and quote your repair (where we do not have a fixed price service fee). The minimum $55.00 charge will be absorbed into the total repair cost if you wish to proceed with the repair.

If you choose to purchase an equivalent replacement product in place of proceeding with the repair, all fees will be waived once an invoice substantiating the purchase is provided.

From 1st July 2014: Non account customers are required to leave a deposit of $55.00 for any items being left for non-warranty repairs. This deposit goes toward the cost of the repair or replacement of the product and is non-refundable.

  • Standard Labour Rate: $125.00 per hour. We will diagnose the fault within 36 hours of your item arriving into the service department, on the basis that than an accurate and adequate fault description is provided.

  • On-Site charges: Call out fee $240.00, plus labour rate from $140.00 per hour

  • Urgent/While You Wait Labour Rate: $250.00 for the first hour (with a minimum charge of $250.00 inc. GST), and $125.00 inc. GST per subsequent hour. We will diagnose and keep you informed of the prognosis whilst you are in the office, and where possible, we will repair your item on the spot.

  • Economy: $99.00 inc. GST per hour. Billed in ½ hr increments after the first hour. Your job will be placed into a queue, and will be attended to when it reaches the top of the queue, typically 7 to 21 days. Economy rates are not available during peak seasons.

  • Minimum Spare Parts Order: $33.00

  • Holding Fee: $5.50 per day
    (This fee will only apply if the item has not been collected after 5 days from notification of completion of job.)

  • Investigation Fee: $55.00
    (This fee will only apply if job arrives by courier without any paperwork or information regarding the fault, or who the item belongs to.)

  • Cleaning Fee: $62.50
    (This fee will only apply if item has foreign bodies or is excessively dusty or dirty.)

All prices include GST.

 

Payment Methods 

If your product is out of warranty, please confirm your payment method upon logging your service call. We will not attempt a repair unless we receive a valid payment method beforehand.

  • Account for customers who hold accounts with Jands. Please include a Purchase Order with the name of the main contact for the item if your Accounts Payable requires a Purchase Order on invoices.

    • American Express (subject to a 3.5% surcharge)
  • For Government Departments, a valid copy of a Purchase Order with the name of the main contact for the item is required.
  • If you are a cash customer, and you require an onsite service call, your pre-payment is required before we can attend your site.

Generally, there is no obligation to provide any information requested, however, if you choose to withhold requested information, we may not be able to provide you with goods/services that depend on the collection of that information.
