Shure Introduce a new Integrated Systems Training and Certification program

With the increase in innovative technology and to ensure a continued network of high quality and qualified partners,
Shure have launched a new certification program for existing and new customers in the Integrated Systems market.

Here’s what you need to know and how it affects you.

 What is certification?

Certification is available as Level 1 – Sales and Level 2 – Technical.

Level 1

Level 1 is sales focused content available online via the Shure online learning management system (LMS). The courses include:

• Audio Basics for Meetings and Conferencing

• Wireless Basics

• Integrated Systems Portfolio Overview

• Selecting the Right Integrated System for the Right Application

• Networking for AV Professionals - Part 1 (The Basics)

• Best Practices on Merging AV and IT Systems

• Final Assessment Exam

If you are confident that you have a reasonable level of understanding of the topics, you will have the option to take the test for each course without completing the training modules. Should you fail the tests, you will be required to complete each of the courses before attempting the tests again.

You’ll also have the opportunity to take the Final Assessment Exam. If you’re unsuccessful on your first attempt, you will be required to take all the courses within the Level 1 Certification syllabus.

Level 1 is mandatory for all Shure customers to obtain access to purchase applicable Shure Integrated Systems product. E.g. Shure MXA, MXW, MXCW, P300 etc.

New customers must obtain Level 1 certification before they can access product.  Existing customers currently selling SI product have until September 2019 to obtain the required certification.

Level 2

Level 2 is technical focused content available via the online learning management system and as instructor-led training. The courses include:

• Shure Master Class: Wireless Best Practices and Techniques (as an instructor-led

course)

• Networking for AV Professionals - Part 2 (Merging with the IT World)

• Conference Room Design Basics

• Audinate Dante™ Certification Level 1 and Level 2 (provided online by Audinate)

• Final Assessment Exam

You will need to be Level 1 Certified to access the technical content within Level 2. As with Level 1, should you feel confident that you have a reasonable level of technical understanding of the topics, you will have the option to take the test for each course without completing the training modules. Should you fail the tests, you will be required to complete each of the courses before attempting the tests again. You’ll also have the opportunity to take the Final Assessment Exam. If you’re unsuccessful on your first attempt, you will be required to take all the courses within the Level 2 Certification syllabus.

Who needs to complete certification?

It is important to note that completion of Level 1 and Level 2 by one member in each office location of your organisation is mandatory for all Jands customers to obtain access to purchase, install and support applicable Shure Integrated Systems product found in Product Group JFNR. Product ranges in this group include Shure MXA, MXW, MXCW, P300, etc.

Existing customers currently selling and installing Shure Integrate Systems products have until September 2019 to obtain the required certification. Please note that certification is held by the individual and not your organisation.

New customers must obtain Level 1 certification before they can access product.

When do you need to complete it?

You have until September 30, 2019 to complete the Integrated Systems Certification Program.

What next?

To begin your Level 1 Certification, you need to create an account on the Shure online Learning Management System (LMS) where the training courses will be located for ease of access. This is a self-paced learning program and you can take the courses at your leisure. And remember, it’s all free!

Your Jands representative will be in touch in the coming weeks to answer any questions you may have and to work with you to help ensure you’re on track and aren’t experiencing any difficulties.
